The issue of child abuse is an increasing concern in Pakistan. With the proliferation of mobile phones and its widespread use among children, we have not only seen an increase in mobile addiction but more alarmingly, an increase in child abuse cases. Karachi Max Team held a session on ‘Child Abuse & Mobile Addiction’ on 16th January at Orangi Town School. Dr Anil Wadhwani (FCPS Psychiatrist) gave a presentation on the topic to the students at the school. Children were taught about good and bad touch when dealing with strangers and people they know. The subject of mobile addiction was also highlighted in the session.
